MoU signed between coir board and IIT Madras

Honorable chairman of coir board Sri. D. Kuppuramu visited IIT Madras on 08/10/2021 and inaugurated the 'Centre of Excellence for the Application of Coir and other Natural Fibres' established as part of the MoU signed between IIT Madras and Coir Board. Sri. M. Kumararaja (Secretary, coir board), Smt. Anith Jacob (Director, CCRI), Prof. Ravindra Gettu (Dean, ICSR), Prof. Manu Santhanam (HOD, Civil), Prof. Rajagopal, K and Prof. Gnanamoorthy, R. were among the few present for the inaugural function. Followed by the inauguration, the coir-board team had a half-day interaction session with the IIT professors and research team, where the progress of the projects currently undertaken and the way forward of the CoE activities were discussed.
